Beleaguered India gets another beating !!

Zaheer must have felt like slapping half the Indian team, especially after the way they let things slip from 66/6 to a 274 score. Few teams have risen from such a depth but we are talking about India and its inability to finish for a long time and here it showed up again. Justin Kemp, who did not have a 100 till this match was waiting for a feast against an innocous attack like India and it was all too easy since 4-6 chances were grassed too. Some 100+ runs were scored without a loss of a single wicket in the last 10 over, as Kemp kept it hoisting it taller and taller and Indian bowlers responded fuller and fuller. It was a shambolic display and even school boys would have thought better than what was dished out by Indian bowlers.
When India batted, it was a familiar story. In sheer desperation, they had thrown in Dinesh Karthik as front line batsmen and he too flattered to decieve (After hitting 2 fours and a well hooked Six). Dhoni and Dravid hit 50s in a loosing cause but it was too little to boost even the morale, leave alone the victory.
With the injury scare to Dravid now, India is almost over the cliff (and as well can jump into the ocean, as once Bedi threatened them to, since they are going to a convenient location - Port Elizebeth for the next slaughtering).

Hi !
As usual calls for GCs head going all around. I can only pity him. For when things were going fine, no one was praising his efforts however when things arent going fine they are calling for his head.

What business have MP's got to do discussing cricket in parliament. Are we running short of issues in the parly.

As for the performance goes, I guess the team is carrying 5-6 non performers along. This includes VC and SRT. SRT hasn't performed for long and its high time he comes good. I guess BCL scoring runs agains Pak is really bothering him otherwise I can't explain such a long lean patch in his career.

I am not impressed with RSD leading the team. When they were 7 down he should have gone for the kill by calling ZK. Unfortunately he pressed on with Harbhajan ( who surprisingly performs badly when Kumble is in the team !!!). This gave ample space to both Hall and Kemp and they settled down.

There are also talks of the team not getting enough practice before the game. I don't think it would have made any difference when you have 5-6 non performers.

Ashes seems to be a better viewing option than the India SA ODI's

Cheers
Prabu

Prabu : You r right. Bhajji is awful when Kumble is there in the team. He let the gauard down and that helped in the 7the wkt partnership along with some pathetic fielding.
Spot on again about the MPs interfering. They don't know what to talk when a mike is before them.
