SG and 'I was asked to step down' controversy

This can only happen in India. Here is a captain who thinks that he is back to form, by hitting the most painstaking 100 against a club class side that will struggle to beat some Kalinga league or Chennai 1st division league sides. SG also quoted some impressive (??) stats. to prove that he is back in form and then dropped the bomb ' I was asked to step down, before the test'. If SG feels that he can make a dig at GC, by bringing this up, when he had hit a 100 on the 3rd days's play - no one is buying it for sure.
SG is embarrassment not only for Indian cricket but for himself. He was never a test class batsman and is never going to be. He has to follow the footsteps of folks like Nasser Hussien, who quit at the right moment. Gavaskar said that ‘you must go, when people are asking, why you are quitting and not at times when they why not. When it comes to SG, he writes his own rules – like running out batsmen at the other end, never running a 3rd or a quick single for batsmen at the other end and so. Obviously, he is not going to step down on his own. That brings us to the topic of 5 wise men, who brought him back as skip. Inspite of knowing it all. This does not seem to have a happy ending and is going to polarize the Indian cricket. We are either going to loose one of the best brains in the game as coach or have a divided house , whose captain proclaims his importance after hitting 100s against club class sides.

Zimb Test Day 3 Lunch

yikes...what a predictable happening..SG seems to have ran out VVS.. I predicted that to a friend of mine...infact, it could have happened in the very first balll when Laxman faced after RD got out. SG did not want to run, as he usually does for other's runs.. Yuvriaj his prized selection failed. SG has moved from 27 to 50 in one whole session and the score ( India has done this kind of thing umpteen times in the past) had crawled up by a mere 50 in one whole session...Only Indian batsmaen and SG can contrive such a happening...
